The Spiritual Mind
Comments on Galatians with an ear to Luther’s commentary
Scripture Text: Galatians 2:20 and Romans 8:9-11
Series: Comments on Galatians
The flesh is just a tool; it is not the wielder. The body is driven by the brain. Just so, the new life in Christ is steered by the Spirit. Every good thing that the body does is directed by the Spirit of God who lives in the believer. Were it not for the Spirit of God, we could do nothing truly good or righteous — that which gives the glory back to God. This good is only done because the spiritual mind is set on what the Spirit of God desires. It is controlled by the Spirit and uses the body to accomplish his will. Otherwise, the body is lifeless.
