Today Is the Day
Comments on Galatians with an ear to Luther’s commentary
Scripture Text: Galatians 2:19 and 2 Corinthians 6:2
Series: Comments on Galatians
All people fall short of the glory of God (Romans 6:23). We are all inclined toward evil (Genesis 6:5). When we are convicted of our sinful condition, we struggle to do better. But our “better” will never be good enough since no person will ever be justified with God by his works (Romans 3:20). Therefore, we must live accordingly, striving to do better and be better but not depending upon our actions or character. We may depend only upon God, for by his grace he offers us salvation through his Son (John 3:17). Today is the day for you to stop trying to be saved and simply be saved. Believe in Christ through faith and live in peace.
