Order of Worship
Prayers of the Church
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Thank you, Lord, for fulfilling your promise to cause a righteous branch to sprout from King David’s lineage. Further, you did something wholly unexpected; you yourself came to be this branch and more, to be the righteousness of all who believe in your fulfilled word. Help us to believe; and we ask that you bring our families and friends and neighbors to faith in you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We trust in you alone, O Lord, so we lift up our souls to you. We offer you our lives for you are our salvation. We entrust ourselves to you because you are all truth and lovingkindness. You are good and upright and compassionate. So, teach us your ways that we may follow you with whole heart, soul, and strength. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Lord, establish our hearts in true holiness. Give us a godly love for all people, and increase our love for one another, even as we pray for these whom we name before you … Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Lift up our heads, Father, for your eternal kingdom is drawing nearer. Keep us alert as we look into your Word daily, awaiting your return with the confidence of faith, knowing that our very redemption is at hand. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy—through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions—all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays, as well as other festival Sundays.
You may notice during the service today that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
Our services are mask-optional.
