Order of Worship
Prayer of the Church
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Your Word tells us of the angelic proclamation, and of the faith of shepherds. Give us such faith, Lord God, that we may believe your Word, proclaimed orally or in the pages of the Book, that you may be glorified, and that there may be peace in our hearts and on earth. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Throughout Advent, we have studied your great works and found you to be a compassionate and gracious God, sending the redemption of your people. For this alone, we fear and love you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
May your peace rule in our hearts, Christ Jesus, through the indwelling of your Word. May all wisdom prevail as we teach and admonish one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in our hearts to God. May this peace rule the hearts of all those we love, whom we name before you now… Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
The eyes of faith that you have given us have seen your salvation. He is a revealing light of revelation for us, helping us to behold the holy Child in the temple of our hearts. May we, like his mother, treasure him in our hearts, and thereby, you be praised in your church. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy—through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions—all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays, as well as other festival Sundays.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
Our services are mask-optional.
