Prayers of the Church
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
You are with us, Father, through all obstacles and disasters. You are even with us in death. Give us such faith that we may live this life, knowing that you will not permit anything to destroy us altogether, and bring us across the divide to you in the promised land of heaven. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We hear your voice over the roar of life, and in the whispers of our minds. We hear your voice echo from the font, as you remind us, Holy Spirit, that we are baptized into Christ Jesus. Give the strength of increasing faith in you. Take us daily from faith to faith by your grace. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
As we have been baptized into Christ’s death, Lord, we believe as it is written, that we will also be resurrected like him. Confirm our faith in your promise so that we might walk in newness of life befitting a resurrection people. We do not ask only for ourselves, for we pray you to help all those we love, whom we name before you now in our hearts and upon our lips, that they may live courageously before you… Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Jesus, your Father was well-pleased with you when you lived this life. We ask that you would give us faith, courage, and the holy strength to be pleasing to him too. Knowing as we ask that some days, the only thing that we can do that is pleasing to your Father is to have faith in you despite our failings. So, give us such strong faith, for we are weak sinners indeed. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy—through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions—all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays, as well as other festival Sundays.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
