Sermon: A New Kind of Creation
Today's service features the baptism of Jaxon Floyd Struble. The children's chatr will explore what it means to be baptized.
The prelude, “O Sacred Head,” lets believers know that one “who dies believing, dies safely in [God's] love.” The Mens Choir sings an offertory entitled "Jesus, Gentle Lamb." The message is about what it means to be a "new creation."

Fourth Sunday in Lent
Order of Worship
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Holy and righteous God, though you have been angry at our iniquity, you have turned away your anger and comforted our consciences. May we never take your grace for granted, and instead, call upon you daily for mercy and forgiveness. You have become our salvation. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Blessed Lord, we give you thanks for covering our sin with the precious blood of the Lamb. We acknowledge to you also the original sin of our human nature. For this reason, we ask that you would watch over Jaxon, providing for him a faithful church to lead him in your way. Be with his parents especially, and also his grandparents, that they may be devoted guides in the faith. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
As you have made Jaxon Floyd Struble a new creation, you have also remade all who believe on your Name. Because you are reconciling the world to yourself through Christ Jesus, we ask that you would be the peace and strength of all these we name before you now, in our hearts and on our lips. … Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
As there is great joy in heaven when even one sinner repents, we ask you to cause us to turn back to you in any way that we are prodigal. Make us steadfast and faithful, and when we are not, may we be mindful of your great faithfulness and justice that restores us in forgiveness for the sake of Jesus Christ. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy—through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions—all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays, as well as festival Sundays.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
