Order of Worship
God is making a new covenant with his people. He promises to put his word in their hearts and forgive their sins. What does he expect us to do for this wonderful benefit? We are merely to receive it: to lift up the cup of salvation and “call upon him in every time of need, and worship him with prayer, praise, and thanksgiving” (Small Catechism, Second Commandment). This new covenant requires no sacrifice for sin since Christ is the sufficient sacrifice for all our sins. He is why there is forgiveness without additional sacrifice on our part. The only thing left for believers to do is draw near to God in full assurance of his mercy and grace, receiving the bread and lifting up the cup: his body and blood given for us.
Visitor Info
We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions—all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays, as well as festival Sundays.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
Our services are mask-optional.
