Easter Resurrection Service, April 17, 2022
Order of Worship
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
In the sunrise service, Father, we saw and heard and smelled the beauty of your creation all around us. Yet you are the God who is creating new heavens and a new earth in which dwells your righteousness. We know that the former things will not only pass away but will no longer be remembered. Fill us, even now, with the fullness of your righteousness so that you become our reason for being. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You are our good above all other things, and so we would love you with our whole heart, mind, body, and soul. Give us spirits that long to know you and the fellowship of your sufferings. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Even as Christ Jesus has been raised from the dead, we know that we who believe on him for salvation will one day be raised. Help us to live like resurrected people, no matter the troubles of life. We ask this now for those who suffer in any way, especially those whom we name before you now, in our hearts or on our lips... Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us such faith that we run to you, Lord, and humility to stoop and look in to see you. Help us to remember what you have spoken to us. Reveal yourself in your Word that we might love you even more, resurrected Christ. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy—through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions—all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays, as well as festival Sundays.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
Our services are mask-optional.
