Prayers of the Church
And they sang a new song, saying, “Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Give us such faith, Jesus, through the power of your Spirit working in Word and Sacrament, to believe and to keep believing so that we may be granted permission to enter the gates of heaven on that great Day. Increase our faith and hope in you, and bring other lost sheep into your kingdom. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We give your thanks for your gracious mercy, Father. Your anger is only for a moment, but your favor lasts a lifetime. May our souls be permitted to sing praise to you and not be silent, O Lord our God, forever and ever more. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Worthy are you, O Lamb of God, to take the scroll and break its seals, for you were slain, purchasing for God with your blood people from every tribe and tongue and society and nationality. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth. Make us such a people at St. Paul’s. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Lord Jesus, increase our catch. Enlarge our nets even to the point of breaking. Bring them in, Lord, and keep them in your church, especially those who are hurting among us. Give them faith and hope in your love—especially these whom we name before you now…. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy—through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions—all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays, as well as festival Sundays.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
Our services are mask-optional.
