Prayers of the Church
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Your Law, O Lord, makes us sorely aware of how much we fail you, and of how our old nature would separate us from you. Draw our new natures close to you through Christ, in his Word and Sacrament. Then help us, Father, to fear and love you to the extent that we do not harm or injure our neighbors but help and befriend them in danger and need. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Lord, many in our community and throughout the world think they are getting away with their sins. They are arrogant and proud of their wrongdoing. We too, sometimes act as though we think you are blind to our actions. Discipline us and teach us your ways so that we may regard rightly our limited time on earth and live faithfully before you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Though we have all sinned and fallen far short of your glory, you loved this world so much that you sent its Savior, your own Son. By his sacrifice, you have declared sinners righteous. Help us then, to live like we are truly people of your kingdom, who love and care for our neighbor. We begin by naming these before you who need your healing and strength… Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Help us to confess, Lord. There are those whom we hate and hold grudges against. We believe ourselves better and more righteous than they, Indeed, Holy God, help us to admit this sin so that we may be forgiven by you. Cover our rage and fits of anger and long held rancor with the blood of Jesus Christ, and forgive us by your great mercy. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
