Prayers of the Church
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Father God, with so many jobs going begging, we beg you to make us a working people. The apostle taught that those who do not work, should not eat. We all want to eat but not everyone wants to work. Help your church to be a people who work so that we set an example to our society but also, honor you with our labor. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We turn to you, O Lord, for we do not know the number of our days. We are grateful for what we have had and ask that we might live however many of our days which remain in a manner that pleases you. Therefore, we ask your favor and that you establish the work of our hands . Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us patience with each other, Spirit of Christ, that we may not be angry but instead, do everything we can to improve and protect the lives and property of our neighbors, especially those who are of the household of God. We begin by naming these before you who need your healing and strength… Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Thieves come in to steal and kill and destroy. Give us rest in your fold and the protection of your shepherded pasture. Protect your church from that thief who would altogether destroy us in hell, and so, guide us into your eternal kingdom. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
Our services are mask-optional.
