Prayers of the Church
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Teach us to speak your language, Lord God. Help us to remember to you the goodness that you have done for us, in reciting your great deeds. You have given to us the heavenly land and the Bread come down from heaven. You have given us this true Bread, written in your word, which we cannot live without. Help us to remember your words even as you remember us in your Kingdom and teach us to pray. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We would prayerfully meditate on your Word, O Lord, and fix our eyes on your teachings. Help us to guard our ways according to that same Word, that we might not wander from your commandments and sin against you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Many of us have been conversant in the sacred writings since we have been children. We thank you for raising us in your church. Regardless, all of us who believe in your Christ, are becoming increasingly acquainted with your Word and we ask that we might learn to converse with you in this heavenly language. We begin by praying for those who need your healing and strength. We pray for Connor’s family, and Bonnie, and Leilani, and all these whom we name before you now, that they may know your peace. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You have given us your Word as the way to abide in you. In doing so, we know the truth, and are set free to pray boldly in your name. Just so, we ask that you would guide your people at St. Paul’s into the future you have for them. We pray especially for our Call Committee, that they would be led to the right person to call as our new Associate pastor. We ask this so that your church may grow and you be praised. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
Our services are mask-optional.
A covered dish lunchen follows the service this morning. All are welcome to stay and eat, regardless of whether you knew or remembered to bring a dish. If weather demands, we will have the meal in the fellowship hall. The picnic shelter will still be availble for those who wish to eat and visit outside.
