The Prayers of the Church
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Let us consult the Book of Remembrance, Lord King, and recall the thousands of people you have brought through St. Paul’s Lutheran Church over these past 192 years. As a good king does, you have heard the complaint and lament of every one of them. You have been faithful to them and given life to those who had faith in you. Give us such faith, O Lord, that we may remain faithful to you until the end of our days. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We sing to you today, O Rock of our salvation, for we are your people. Give us ears to hear you over the din our own voices. Impart to us your own Spirit so that we may listen to your voice and worship you alone. For you are the great God and the great King above all gods. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
King Jesus, you are the creator and most eminent, firstborn of all creation, who continues to hold the universe and the whole of creation together. Even so, you are also head of the church. So, hold us together. Bless our new Church Council, giving them wisdom to hear your voice and guide your people. Hold to yourself the suffering and sick among us, comforting them with the fullness of your presence. We pray this particularly for these whom we name before you now... Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We know that Luther teaches us to fear, love, and trust in you, God, above all things. But here we are again, preparing for a feast and already rushing around to purchase gifts for Christmas morning. In the midst of all our busyness, we ask the blessing of your prayer on Golotha, that the Father might forgive us for we do not know what we are doing. Guide us in the days ahead, and remember us in your kingdom, our great God and King. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
