Christmas Day
Order of Worship
Download the bulletin PDF for the entire service.
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Of all the things that we should take from this Christmas Sunday service, Lord, help us to take up your command, and our commission, to go and proclaim the gospel. Cause your people at St. Paul’s to break forth with singing, to lift up our voices, and strengthen also the arms of missionaries until the ends of the earth see the salvation of our God. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We are a rebellious people, Lord, We confess it. We are little different than your peoples have ever been; we are sinners, one and all. And yet, you are faithful to us and to your Name, and you are just in your faithfulness, for Christ’s sake. Lead us to keep your commandments and when we fail to do so, to believe in your faithfulness to forgive us through your Son. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
In these last days, you have spoken to us by your Son, the exact imprint of your nature made man. This same radiance of the glory of God incarnate upholds the universe by the word of his power. By the power and glory of your Son, Father, uphold these whom we name before you now... We give you thanks for the work of your Holy Spirit in your people. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Ever-living Word of God, you are the true Light, ever coming into the world to enlighten all who believe. You have caused your church to be a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for your own possession, that we may proclaim the excellencies of him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. May it be so among your people at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, that we may truly be called your children. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
We invite you to join us for an in-person service. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, family-like environment. Our worship services are traditional and liturgical. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
