Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
As you blessed your people of old, you bless your church today. You favor those who believe in your Christ, and guard them from sin and death. Your face shines upon us and you are gracious to us. All this you have done so that we might have peace. Bless us with the peace of your uplifted face. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
How majestic is your name, O Lord, throughout all the earth. When we look at the excellence of your creation, we are humbled that you have given us charge of it. Even more, we are shocked that you are even mindful enough of us that you would give us charge of your creation. Help us to be good stewards of what you have entrusted to us so that your name may be majestic in all the earth. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We are grateful to you, Christ Jesus, and we are grateful for you who came into this world so that we might be justified to God through faith in your work on the cross. You are now our garment, O Lord, our covering in Christian Baptism. Even so, we are heirs of glory. Remind all those who struggle in body, mind, or spirit, that they are covered in Christ. We ask this especially for these whom we name before you now... Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Even as your incarnate Son was set apart to you in circumcision, Father, your promise is for all those who are called through your grace to be sons of the Most High. Help us to always call upon the name of Jesus, remembering our baptism into him and his death, so that we may be reminded of the promise: life everlasting. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
