Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Give us the discernment of faith, Father, to know you as the first and last, the only God. Help us to fear only you so that our confession is that you alone are the Rock and our Redeemer. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
When we consider our ways, Lord God, what can we do but acknowledge our wandering, and turn our feet back toward you. We would hasten to keep your covenant promise but are easily turned aside. Have mercy on us and turn our feet back to you, that we may know your unfailing love is for sinners like us. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Life is often difficult, painful, and we seem surrounded by death. We admit that, so long as we are in this life, we are in the midst of death. Yet, as delightful as our good times also are, the whole of this life is not worth comparing to the eternal glory that awaits its revealing. Help us to put the sufferings and joys of the present time into perspective of glory and everlasting life with you. Give especially to all who are suffering or mourning today that perspective of faith in your promise, that we may be helped in our weaknesses, and your will be done in both joy and suffering, in life and in death. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us sense to till the soil of our lives — to weed and fertilize and water, giving your good gospel seed the place to grow. Keep us steadfast in your Word. Make us a more devoted people of prayer. Cause this communion to be our home, and our houses homes away from this home, that we may already begin to shine like the sun in the kingdom of our Father. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
