Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
We pray, Lord, for the missionaries and evangelists around the world who proclaim your Word. Move, Holy Spirit, in the lives of the spiritually hungry and thirsty, that they might come to your Word and hear. Give us to incline the ears of our hearts too, that we might gladly hear your Word and learn it, and our souls live in you. Bless our Sunday School teachers, that they may continue to faithfully teach your Word. Bless the hygiene kits our Lutheran Women have prepared, which also contain your Word, that they may bring hope and encouragement to those who receive them. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
There are many ups and downs, highs and lows, but your steadfast love endures forever. You are the God of gods, the one who works wonders, so we know you bring us through life, such as it may be, and into life eternal with you; your steadfast love endures forever. You have even redeemed us from sin, death, and the devil, both in this life and the life to come because your steadfast love endures forever. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us faith to believe your Word, for our feelings and our reason can so easily lead us astray. Help us believe in your incarnate Son, not because it makes sense but because “it is written.” Having such confidence in your Word, may we be drawn to your promises and have such trust that believes in a benevolent Lord. We ask this also for those who cannot be with us in this sanctuary this morning, those who are sick, homebound, hospitalized, and traveling. Bless them with the faith to believe in you and your steadfast love for them, despite how they may feel today. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers, Father — even that prayer that your Son taught us to pray. Thank you for those who prepared our breakfast this morning. Bless you, Lord, for working through their hands to answer our prayers. Thank you for our children, who also fed our souls through song this morning. Continue to multiply your blessings to all who look to you for food. Open your hand and satisfy the need of every living thing. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
