Order of Worship
Download today's bulletin PDF for the entire order of worship and more.
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Give us, God, the eventual wisdom of Job: the sense that is still and quiet before you. May we listen to you instead of our emotions and the spurious insight of culture. Guide us to hear your answer face-to-face in the pages of the Book, that we may be taught by the Spirit of your Son, who is the answer. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You are our Rock, the gracious strength that bears us up under trial, and brings us out into the eternally broad plane of salvation. Though distress and death threaten to surround us, we thank you, Father, that you are as near to us as prayer. Rescue those who cannot be with us in this sanctuary today — those who are sick, homebound, hospitalized, and traveling. Save them from these and other strong enemies. Bless them with the faith to believe in you and your loyal love for them — despite how they may feel today. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Lead us to the source of faith, Holy Spirit, that word and faith in Christ that is ever near. Let us not falter since you are our strength. Give us the good confession, that the world may hear and know that you are the God of our salvation. May the gospel be our watchword, an ever-present answer and means of salvation. Give your church — everyone present here today — beautiful feet so that through each of us the good news is proclaimed, heard, and believed through the word and Spirit of Christ. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Remove doubt — at least any distrust in you. Increase our faith and give us strong hearts, so that we do not fear the unsettling waves of life. Take us out in the deep waters of our baptisms, that we may know your presence and salvation. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
