Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Give us ears to listen, to pay attention to you. We are reminded, Holy Spirit, when you transfigured Jesus on the mountain, and when you said, Father, “Listen to him.” Give us ears of faith that we may listen. Give us eyes that look to you so that we may know your salvation is everlasting. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We would give you thanks with our whole heart, but we confess that the only way we can do so is to return to you with thanks only after we have forgotten you for a time. Your steadfast love is more faithful than our faith. Increase our faith and strength of soul so that we may exalt in your Name and Word. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Your ways are unfathomable, yet your Word promises that you would renew our minds and try us so that we may know your will. Test us through your Word so that we may understand who you would have us to be for you. Give us godly courage to become the living sacrifices you command. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us the faith of Simon Peter that confesses you as Christ, Lord Jesus. Help us to carry the promise of our baptisms, the mystery that flesh and blood cannot reveal to us but that we may nonetheless believe. Reveal yourself, Father, to Otto and Oliver. Strengthen their family, including this congregation, so that Oliver and Otto may grow up in strong faith and trust in you. And cause all of us to grow in such faith, even those who are struggling today in any way, that they might remember you baptized them and will keep them to the end—for Christ’s sake. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
