Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
We ask that, like Cyrus of old, you would work through the leaders of the world’s nations. As our own troops and ships draw nearer and nearer to engaging in the current conflict in the Middle East, be with our men and women in all branches of the armed services. Be with our leaders: that they will make the best decisions. We pray particularly that all people, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that they may know that there is no other God besides you, that you are the Lord, and there is no other. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We sing your praise, Lord God, but help us to sing about you to the whole earth. Bless our missions, particularly Naomi’s Heart Mission and Lutheran Military Veterans and Families, whom we are supporting right now. Be with our other missions to keep them funded for and focused on the work of your gospel so that your salvation is known throughout the world. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Thank you for choosing to save us, Father. Thank you for sending your Living Word to save us and for his calling of the apostles so that we have the written Word. Work your Word in us with the power and conviction of your Holy Spirit so that we are confident of your salvation and want to tell others of the goodness of God. May your goodness permeate the spirits and souls of those among us who are mourning and suffering in any way. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You who are always near, guarding with watchful eye, to you we cry out: God save the State! We are in a desperate position in our nation and in the world. Use us to show the world your better way. God, do save the State. But God, save the world from itself and use us so that all may hear of your salvation. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
