Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Lord God, we are so bold as to ask that you enlarge the spirit of your church, even St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Make us akin to Lutheran and the other Lutheran reformers: bold of heart and voice, intent on proclaiming your eternal gospel so that you would receive glory in all parts of the earth. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We thank you, Holy Spirit, for always being with us. You are our constant retreat and vitality. Even when troubles come, you are our mighty fortress, guarding is from all evil. Help us always, to settle down, to be still, and to recall that we have in you a helper who prevails over the flood of mortal ills that seek to work us woe. May we not confide in our own strength, but instead, yours, so that our trust is in you alone, the Lord of hosts who is always with his people. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We know that we are sinners, Lord. Forgive us, Father. Help us to always see your Son but especially in these moments of confession and always. And give us dispositions that would listen to him only when sin and guilt assault us. Overcome the craft of the devil, so that we are strong in our greatest weakness and at peace with you. May this same peace that surpasses comprehension fill the hearts and minds of all those among us who are mourning and suffering. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
May our faith in you not be shallow, Lord. May we live deeply in you, abiding in your word, even as you abide in us. Reveal yourself to us there, not in our feelings and opinions. Give us the certainty having heard the truth, of knowing you, and so, set us free indeed. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
