Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Youi have made the house and kingdom of David to last forever — not through his earthly sons but through your own heavenly Son, also a son of David. Keep us in the true faith, that we may have the blessed heavenly rest and peace that only Christ, your Son and our eternal King. provides. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You, O Lord, are blessed forever. Preserve your church, Holy Spirit. Provide for our future here at St. Paul’s so that we may continue to serve you and direct people to your Christ. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Strengthen us according to the gospel of Jesus Christ, according to that revelation of the mystery that had been kept secret for long ages but has now been unveiled and made known to all nations through the prophetic writings and according to the command of the eternal God. Bring about the obedience of faith in your church and throughout Rowan County and the world so that glory forevermore might be to you, O God, through Jesus Christ. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Nothing is impossible with you, Lord. You favored Mary, a lowly and meek maiden from a lower and humbler village. Just so, there is nothing special about us, yet you favor us for Christ’s sake. For all those who are lonely, ill, suffering, or mourning in this season, we ask the seemingly impossible: that you would show them your favor by being their companion, their health, their wholeness, and their peace this Christmas and into the new year. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Please notice that we welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, Pastor Ryman has a chat with the children. You're going to love this part of the service.
