Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
May your good and gracious will be done, Lord, and may it be done among us here at St. Paul’s even if you have to drag us through the trials of Jonah. Break and hinder every evil plan and purpose of the devil, the world, and our sinful nature, which do not want us to hallow your name or let your kingdom come. Strengthen and keep us firm in your Word and in faith until we die, or you come again. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us such confident hope in you, Lord God, that we may wait in silence when our enemies seek to knock us down. Give us peace in Christ — more than in our circumstances and feelings. Remind us always, Holy Spirit, that the Father is eager to hear from us, and will listen to us pour out our hearts to him. We trust you, God, for on you rests our salvation and honor. Repay to us, not according to our works but, according to the work of Christ, for whose sake we have faith and are forgiven. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Spirit of God, you have given us all different gifts and graces to serve you and our neighbor. Help us understand our gifts and callings so that we may serve you according to your Word and will, being content with our lives within the mission of your church. Free us from the anxieties of life in order that we may be wholly devoted to you. We pray for the peace of our sick and suffering, and ask that you help them trust in you in these difficult times. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Your kingdom is at hand; it is among us. You are among us, King Jesus. Give us faith to continue following you and to do so more diligently. Make us fishers for your kingdom. Grow your church, even here at St. Paul’s, by using us to cast the Word into our neighbors’ lives. We believe that your Spirit will give the increase, will make the catch, if we cast the net. Do so, according to your will. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
