Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
O Lord our God, the incarnation can veil your divinity. Let us see you, Christ Jesus, despite the veil of the incarnation. May we see you in Word and Sacrament and ourselves come to shine reflectively, having been in your presence. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Shine, Jesus, shine. Fill us with your Father’s glory so that we may, in fearing you, come to love and fully trust you too. Speak to us and we will hear that your will might be done among us. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Lift the veil, Lord, that we may behold your glory, and be transformed into your image from glory to glory. Help us to not lose heart but instead, to hold on to you in faith. We pray especially that those who are suffering and mourning among us may listen and hear you in the Word and in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Give them a living hope. We pray this especially for Betty and Crystal, and their families, that you would lift the veil for them as they recall your precious promises for Lynn and Virginia. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Remove our fear of the unknown, Father. Speak to us in no uncertain tones or clouds. Speak to us the very word of Christ. Help us to see him instead of all the distractions, and hear him only. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
