Order of Worship
Download today's bulletin PDF for the entire order of worship and more.
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Teach us, Father, to fear you in such a way that we desire to keep your commandments. Inspire us, Christ Jesus, to love you because, when we cannot keep your commandments, you are faithful and just to forgive us through your righteousness, not ours. Remind us daily, Holy Spirit, that the promises of your Word are for sinners who fear, love, and trust in you above all things — even above our religious works, our devotion, and our occasional moral strength. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Guide us into your truth, Lord, daily enlightening us from your Word. May the words of our mouths and the thoughts of our minds be acceptable to you because your Spirit has moved them within us, for you are our Rock, our Redeemer. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us such grace to apprehend the saving truth of your Word. Help us to see the grace of Christ in the sacraments, and hear it in the proclaimed gospel. Let us not wander into the foolishness of the world but instead, live in the wisdom of the cross all our days. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Cleanse these temples of our bodies from all peddling with religion. Give us hearts that cling to you alone, without any of the props of personal piety. And may all who are suffering and mourning today have faith in you alone so that they too may finally be stripped of all pretense and come to trust in you above all others. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
