Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
O God, fiery serpents have invaded our disobedient grumbling against your will. Their sting of death is more than we can survive. Because we cannot by our own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord, or come to him, we look to the cross. We look to Christ Jesus. Heal us as you did your ancient people who looked upon the serpent on the pole. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Holy Spirit, you have called us by the gospel, enlightened us with your gifts, and sanctified and kept us in the true faith. In the same way call, gather, enlighten, and sanctify the whole Christian church on earth, and keep her with Jesus Christ in the one true faith. Lead us in the straight and narrow way until that Day when we reach the eternal city. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We are your workmanship, reborn in the Christ so that we may do good works that glorify you. We know that you do not need our works to affect our salvation; Christ alone has accomplished this as your gift to us. You do not need our works but our neighbor does. Help us to fulfill our callings, to walk in the way that you prepared from the beginning. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
In this Christian church you daily and richly forgive all our sins and the sins of all believers who look to you in faith. Help our Girl Scout troop to believe in you. Richly bless them with forgiveness of sin, salvation, and eternal life with you. Be also with those who are suffering among us. Bring your light into the darkness of sorrow, and on the Last Day raise us all from the dead. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
