Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
You have written your Word within us, Lord. Move us then by your Holy Spirit working through that Word to follow you instead of our own hearts. Make us eager to be where your Word is read and proclaimed. Induce us to open your Word often in our homes. Be our God and keep us as your church so that we may be that people who know you intimately because you forgive our faults and forget our sins forever. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Like King David of old, Lord God, we would seek you and love you with our entire heart and soul and mind. Yet, also like the psalmist, though we try to do so, we are all too aware that fail at this task. So, in spite of our trespasses, let us not wander from your commandments. What else can we do but turn again and again to you, fixing our attentions upon you and your ways every time we sin? Let us never forget your Word so that we may delight in your law and your forgiving love forevermore. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You share our humanity, Lord Jesus. You are uniquely qualified to be our great High Priest, the source of full and eternal forgiveness. So, we approach you with confidence, not in our own goodness or merit, but in the holy righteousness of our permanent priest, the source of everlasting salvation to all who follow him in the obedience of faith. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Help us to walk in the way of the Lord, the path of humble obedience and service. May ours be the path of faithful service since our Lord himself came to serve, most notably by giving his own life for us all. Inspire us to give our own lives in service to our neighbors, especially those who suffer and mourn among us. Comfort them and give them the blessed hope we share through faith in Christ Jesus, our Savior. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
