Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Touch those among us who are suffering or mourning. By your name — by faith in your name — make them well. Give them perfect health of body, soul, and spirit, until that day when you restore all of creation and you sit on your throne in the glory of your eternal kingdom. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Lift up the light of your countenance upon us all, O God of our righteousness. Give us the joy of your presence and the peace that comes from trusting in you above all others. Grant us such fear, trust, and love that may we lie down and sleep each night in perfect peace, knowing that you alone, Lord, make us dwell in safety. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We thank you, Father, for calling us your children, through the merit of the firstborn of many brothers, our Lord, Jesus Christ. Help us to hold this inheritance in your family seriously and devoutly, not making sin a practice, but practicing the righteousness of the Son of God, in the confidence that when seeing his appearing, you will make us like him. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Speak peace to us, Jesus, your peace. Open our minds to understand the Scriptures so that we may know you. For the Word of God contains nothing else than the promised grace and forgiveness of sin that comes to us through your suffering. And in the Scriptures we hear that whoever believes in you, and no other, shall be saved. Open the minds of our families and neighbors — indeed, open our minds — that we may know you and be saved. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
