Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Holy Spirit God, give us the missionary zeal of Philip, who rose up and went where you told him to go. Give us ears to hear and hearts that obey your call, whether into the mission field or sharing you with our neighbor, whether entering the ordained ministry or doing the ministry of your church. To that point, Lord, we thank you for Tim Deal and the Lutheran Men, and the 140 folks from St. Paul’s who helped realize the dream of the Cruise ‘n BBQ again this year. We thank you for answering their prayers. Now, we ask that the fruit of yesterday will bless many people throughout the year and that you receive the glory. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You are worthy of our praise, Lord God, in this sanctuary under the heavens but in the highest heavens too. You are worthy of praise on this pipe organ, with piano, guitar, horns, and voices. May everyone who has breath in this church bring you praise this morning and every day. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us faith that confesses you, Lord Jesus. May our words and our lives declare you are the one who came down from the Father and defeated sin, death, and the devil. Having been freed from these shackles, move us to love one another as you love us, that we may know you abide in us and we remain in you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us to remain in you, Jesus, that we may bear much fruit. This is your Father’s will for us, so help us abide and bear. Give us wisdom to ask great things of you — things that will be fruit borne for you. To this end, we ask for healing and peace for all among us who are suffering among us, especially those whom we name before you now… Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing though. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
