Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Turn our eyes from a passion for politics, the too-often-false false promises of politicians, and the power plays of nations. Focus our eyes instead on the established kingdom of heaven, the accomplished promise of Christ’s cross and resurrection, and the gathering of many peoples and nations into a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells so that all may know that you are the Lord and that you have accomplished what you have spoken from of old. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Let us also not trust in money or the other riches of this world. Help us to be satisfied that you have planted us beside the deep and steady stream of your Word. Help us to drink deeply day and night so that we may have the law and love of God always in our ears, always in our hearts, and always in our mouths. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Because your Holy Spirit indwells us while we live on earth, we have the guarantee of a heavenly dwelling with you in your heavenly kingdom. So, help us to walk by faith instead of by appearances. Do not allow temporary setbacks in life to rob us of your eternal promises. Bless those among us who are suffering in any way to know that because they are in Christ, they are a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come and is coming ultimately in your heavenly kingdom. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You have planted your Word in our hearts. We ask now that you would bring it to a full and mature harvest, not only in our lives, but also in the whole earth. We thank you for those you have sent to share the Word of Christ with us. Parents and grandparents, pastors and Sunday School teachers and assistants, friends and neighbors, and the many others who have passed along our paths, scattering the seed of your Word. But you alone have made in grow into faith. . Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing through. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
