Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
You have loved the sisters and brothers of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for almost 200 years, Lord God. Just as you have loved and will continue to love all your people throughout the world, we are grateful that we may depend upon your unfailing love and mercies forever. They are fresh every morning, that our hope may be rewed day by day through Christ Jesus. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We know, Father, that we are unworthy of your great love and mercy. And you must get so angry with us sometimes. When we mishandle your Word and abuse and break your law, may your anger drive us to confess our sin so that your gracious favor may last a lifetime for Christ’s sake. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We thank you for St. Paul Lutheran Seminary, for the training of pastors that they have faithfully undertaken. Bless Pastor Julie and the many other faculty and few staff accomplish your purposes at the seminary. We thank you also for our children who have taken up the mission offering for them each Sunday. Multiply this gift, Holy Spirit, and provide godly preaching and leadership for the next generation so that those children and many others may come to know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ — that though he was rich, yet for their sake he became poor, so that they might become rich by his poverty. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us the hands of faith, Jesus, hands that are always reaching out to touch even the fringes of your grace. Heal those among us who are suffering and mourning, and give them your peace, that their faith in you might make them truly well. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing through. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
