Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
It is too easy to grumble against others, Father, even those you have put into pivotal positions in your church. So, we pray for our pastors, asking that you give them hearts of mercy like you gave to Moses and Aaron. And we ask that you give us courage to be humble, Father, knowing that our muttering against those you have called is actually grumbling against you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Turn our eyes to you for our daily bread Bring us to — for everything that has to do with the support and needs of the body, such as food, drink, clothing, shoes, house, home, land, animals, money, goods, a devout husband or wife, devout children, devout workers, devout and faithful rulers, good government, good weather, peace, health, self-control, good reputation, good friends, faithful neighbors, and the like. Give us the knowledge that all every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from you, the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Holy Spirit, you have given the church everyone necessary for building up the body of Christ, so that we might realize unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, evidenced by maturity and a growing into the fullness of Christ. Help us to stop acting like children but instead, to grow up in Christ and his love. Build up those among us who are suffering and sick so that they too to may be bound together by the truth proclaimed by your church and its ministers. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us the focus to work for that food which endures to eternallife. Draw all of us — including Nora Grace Plummer — closer through your Word and Sacraments to that life that is only found in you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing through. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
