Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Open our eyes, Lord, to your Word. Open our ears and hearts to the grace you extend to us through that Word, especially when we gather at your table this morning. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We would always seek you, Lord, but we confess that sometimes — indeed, often enough — we pursue our own goals and traditions instead of what we know full well is your will. Help us to acknowledge this daily — if only as we pray the third petitions of your prayer — so that the defense of our human traditions do not become pharisaical. Change us to desire your will over our own pursuits so that we honor you more fully. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Unfold the mystery before us, Holy Spirit. Give us wills that submit to our Husband who gave himself up for his Bride. May this spiritual mystery of being one with Jesus, spill over into our homes and build stronger marriages and families. Bless the wives and husbands of St. Paul’s that they may live in the light of Christ and his Word. Help us also to honor the lives of our children, even those you know who are as yet in the womb. Just so, we commend to you the ministry of Rev. Licht and Lutherans for Life. Prosper the work of their hands for your glory in this Mystery of Christ Jesus. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Spare us from ourselves, Father. When we make void your commandments by promoting our own customs and practices, help us to confess and receive your forgiveness. Be with all those who are sick and suffering among us, that they may be in good health soon, even as it goes well with their souls. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing through. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
