Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Help us to trust in you, Lord, instead of the false assurances of riches. We know that wealth will never satisfy us, that only you can give us true contentment. Nevertheless, we find ourselves always wanting more money. We may not have much but we love the notion that a little more would make us happier or more secure. We know it isn’t true but we imagine it all the same. In an instant, life may strip away what money can never purchase. So, give us hearts that trust in you alone. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We speak the Ten Commandments every Sunday morning; many of us also recite them most days, along with the Lord’s Prayer, and perhaps the Creed. Help us to meditate on your Word day and night, to store up your Word in our hearts, and to never forget what is written in all of the Scripture. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Your Word is acute and living within those who study it. Holy Spirit, continue to work through your Word to accomplish your purposes in our lives, especially to maintain our faith in you. May we hold fast to our confession, ever drawing near to your grace in which we receive your blessed mercy of help in time of need. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Life and salvation are not up to us, Lord. We can never accomplish what it takes to be reconciled to you, God. But with you, all things are possible. So, bring us into your blessed kingdom, Father, that we may enjoy your company forevermore. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing through. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
