Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
We thank you for sealing through Holy Baptism the lives of Jeff Powlas, Carolyn Cress, Becky Lyerly, Mike Morris, the Rev. Iverson Brendle, Herman Ritchie, and Teresa Peeler, sheep of your own fold, lambs of your own flock, sinners of your own redeeming. As you have received them into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, keep us who remain in faith so that we may all come into that glorious company of the saints in light, for Christ’s sake. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You have adorned with salvation the humble: those who fear, love, and trust in you. May we sing your praise and have that sharp, two-edged sword — your holy Word — revealing your salvation to those who fear and believe, and your wrath to those proud souls who refuse to believe in you. Use our missionaries and ministry partners to proclaim you to the nations. Indeed, use us who are kept in your faith and fear. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
As we meet you at the altar, Jesus, we appreciate again your Father’s great love for us. Because of that love, he sent you to make us your siblings, children of your Father. We know this promise is not for this life only, but that in a flash, we shall be translated with all the saints into glory, made somehow like yourself. We fail to grasp the fullness of this promise, but we ask your Spirit to keep this hope alive in us so that we may be purified as you are pure. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Favor us with your divine grace, God, and make us content with your blessings. Encourage the weak, those suffering or mourning, the hospitalized and homebound with contentment in you, knowing that this life is but for a moment, and that eternity with you awaits. Give us all the endurance of faith during the remaining course of your blessings in this life. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing through. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
