Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
We will not fear, Lord God, for you have redeemed us. You have carried us through the flood waters of sin and brought us to the other side—to life eternal. There, we will be with you forever, even as you have been with us always, even to the end of this age and beyond. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Help us to run to your voice, Father. Your voice thunders over the chaos of our lives but we are sometimes deaf to thunder. Your glory flashes brightly before us but sometimes we are blind to majesty. So, help us hear your voice and recall the benefits of our baptisms. May we listen to your Word and hear you speaking over the raging rivers of life. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Holy Spirit, guide us and lead us away from temptation, and deliver us from evil. Abide with sinners like us, so that our sins may not be habitual. Furthermore, remind us to confess our sins, calling on you to forgive us and renew us. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We thank you, Lord Jesus, for submitting to baptism and thereby fulfilling all righteousness. Though you had no need, the Father was well pleased with your humble service on behalf of the world. For it is because of your baptism that we are able to be baptized into your death. And just as you died and rose again, we too, through Holy Baptism, die to sin and will rise with you on that great Day.
Give us all the hope of this glory, especially those among us who mourn, are ill, or are suffering in any way. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Visitor Info
We would love for you to worship with us in-person if you live in the area or are passing through. For those outside our locale, we do livestream our services into this page, as well as to YouTube and Facebook.
At St. Paul's you may expect traditional worship of liturgy and Holy Communion each Sunday with a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join one of our pastors on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
Giving
You may give an offering online to the General Fund and to some specific funds, using this secure link. If you do not have an account with Tithely, it will take a few minutes to set that up.
