Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Lord Jesus, so much rubbish passes over our unclean lips. Touch our lips with your holy meal and atone for our sins. Cleanse us in your righteousness so that our lips may sing the Holy, Holy, Holy with all you people and the angels in heaven. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Father, you are ever more ready to hear from us than we are to pray to you. Inspire us to pray your Son’s prayer throughout our days and to expect from you good things. You have given us promises to believe in and that might drive our prayers. We ask too little and, in the end, ask too much. Teach us your will and preserve our lives. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Guide us, Holy Spirit, to work hard for the edification of those sitting around us here at St. Paul’s. More than that, Lord God, give us hearts to care for and build up your whole church. We pray for our missionaries, particularly Scott Licht of Lutherans for Life who is with us today. Bless the work of your hand at Lutherans for Life. Embolden them in your Spirit. Be with Kristie and Danny Ward and your work at Naomi’s Heart and bless their travel to be with us next month. Also bless Angela and David Breidenbach and their ministry with Spiritual Orphans Network. Bless their travels as they come to be with us next month as well. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Forgive our shallow offerings of evangelism. You have made your Name and Word great but we keep them to ourselves. Give us the obedience of Peter, that at your word, we would put out into the deep our cast our nets. Give us compassion for the lost and increase your kingdom, Lord, even here at St. Paul’s. Give us a catch of souls that threaten to break the nets. And for all the souls here who mourn, are ill, or are suffering in any way, give them the blessed hope that they are gathered to you, already netted into the great communion of saints. Give them hope; give them peace. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Visitor Info
We would love for you to worship with us in-person if you live in the area or are passing through. For those outside our locale, we do livestream our services into this page, as well as to YouTube and Facebook.
At St. Paul's you may expect traditional worship of liturgy and Holy Communion each Sunday with a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join one of our pastors on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
Giving
You may give an offering online to the General Fund and to some specific funds, using this secure link. If you do not have an account with Tithely, it will take a few minutes to set that up.
