Let us pray for the whole people of God, in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Eternal Father, grant your church a deep understanding of your Word and a wisdom that surpasses all. Guide us to trust in the righteousness of your Son rather than in our own. Designate the church as your watchman, utilizing its words and deeds to direct sinners away from wrongdoing and toward the cross, where their salvation is assured. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
O God of our salvation, you are the God who provides deliverance, mercy, and peace. In our moments of trial, remind us that you delivered your people from bondage and guided them through the sea. You offer us also everything we need in the form of spiritual food and drink. You restore both body and spirit for all who believe. Give us endurance so that we may always trust that our salvation is assured in Christ Jesus. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Father, we pray for those serving you worldwide. Strengthen the churches and missions grounded in your word. Provide both physical and spiritual nourishment, aligning their efforts with your purpose. Help us to support one another, enabling us to better serve those called to your church through faith in your Son. Guide each member of this congregation to be fruitful fig trees, abundant in righteousness, faithfulness, love, peace, and good deeds. May our lives consistently reflect your glory and nourish your people. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Lord Jesus, you gather all nations and mold us into your church. By baptism, we become citizens of your heavenly kingdom. We lift up everyone in this congregation who may be experiencing grief or suffering in body, mind, or spirit. We pray for your presence with us, sowing peace in our hearts. We express our gratitude, particularly for the servants who have gone before us and now find rest in you. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy; through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
If you live in the area or are passing through, please worship with us in-person. For those outside our locale, we do livestream our services into this page, as well as to YouTube and Facebook.
At St. Paul's you may expect traditional worship of liturgy and Holy Communion each Sunday with a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join one of our pastors on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
