Let us pray for the whole people of God, in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Eternal God, you have claimed us through baptism and faith in your Son Jesus Christ. Be a strong shield for your church in the world. Make us faithful witnesses so that, like Abraham, we trust in your word above all else. Grant us a strong faith that we may cling to your steadfast love amid any fears and doubts brought on by the trials and tribulations of this world. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Lord Jesus, strengthen this congregation with your word and sacraments. Pour out your Holy Spirit on Gracelyn Ziegler and grant her a faith that seeks your kingdom and your table of mercy with joy and thanksgiving. Bless this congregation with fervent faith, calm hearts, compassionate spirits, and acts of love. Help us all to seek your kingdom before anything else. Remind us that our true treasures are not in worldly possessions but in you alone and the gifts you have given your church. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Eternal Father, comfort your people suffering from global calamities, violence, disease, and mental distress. Replace their anxiety and fear with hope and assurance that you will meet all their needs. Guide those you have called to protect, and care for them to bring them security, healing, and comfort according to your Holy Will. Be with all those who are homebound or in nursing homes. Send your faithful servants to proclaim your word to them and be present during their most vulnerable moments so that they can hear the promise of your kingdom and believe. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Holy and gracious Lord, we lift to you all of those called to educate our children as they prepare and return to classes this year. We ask you to bless them with your patience, wisdom, endurance, and love, that they may share the gifts you have given them with their students, that they may use their knowledge to glorify you now and in the future. Give your church the means to support both our students and teachers with prayer, service, and encouragement according to your holy will. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy; through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
Teaching
Feel free to open or download this week's preview of the lessons. We send this to our homebound with a bulletin each week and thought you might like to have a copy as well. You may read it online or print it out. It includes prayers, brief teaching on each of the four lessons for Sunday, an overview, and an additional Word Search based on the Gospel Lesson.
Visitor Info
If you live in the area or are passing through, please worship with us in-person. For those outside our locale, we do livestream our services into this page, as well as to YouTube and Facebook.
Expect traditional worship with liturgy and Holy Communion each Sunday and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join one of our pastors on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scriptures. We think you will love this part of the service.
