Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Lord God, when we experience the famines of life—and indeed, the times of plenty—teach us to be content. Show us, as you did the apostle, the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, living in plenty or in want, health or infirmity, uproar or distress. Give us trust in you to be grateful for life and to do all you have called us to do through him who gives us strength. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Father God, Dr. Luther taught us that we should fear, love, and trust in you above all things. So, we do not hold back this morning; we give you thanks with our whole hearts, declaring that we have exceedingly more to thank you for than all the rest in life. For you have caused your wondrous works of creation itself and are ushering us into a new creation through the redemption of your people. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Strengthen us by your grace, that even when we suffer we would turn to the promises of your unbound word and have peace. Help us in every circumstance to remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, and that we too are guaranteed the gospel inheritance of resurrection. Give us boldness to proclaim your good news to our neighbor as we know we ought to do. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us the faith of the Samaritan leper, that even when we are not feeling it, even when everything appears to be going wrong in life, we may respond to your word and command with faith. Heal us on the way and cause us to be thankful.
For those among us who feel that things are going wrong most every day, those whose days are lived with suffering or mourning, give them the courage and the grace to complete the course of their lives with thankful faith in the word of Christ Jesus until that Day. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Visitor Info
If you live in the area or are passing through, please worship with us in-person. For those outside our locale, we do livestream our services into this page, as well as to YouTube and Facebook.
Expect traditional worship with liturgy and Holy Communion each Sunday and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join one of our pastors on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scriptures. We think you will love this part of the service.
