Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God, in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Lord Jesus, you have united us in your death and resurrection through Holy Baptism, in which we are made new creations in faith. Be a strong shield for your son, Nolan Reid Smith. Make him faithful in witnesses and grant him ears to hear your word all the days of his life. Grant all people of your church a strong and enduring faith that we may cling to your steadfast love amid any fears and doubts brought on by the trials and tribulations of this world. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Everlasting Father, we lift up all members of Saint Paul’s Church who are homebound, in hospitals, in nursing care, and in hospice. We pray for their doctors, nurses, and caregivers, who work to bring healing and peace through whatever means they are given to your most vulnerable Lord. We ask your Holy Spirit to descend upon their families and loved ones, that they would find comfort in your word, and be strengthened by it continually. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Eternal God, we pray for all people that they would find their refuge in your son. While we sojourn on this earth, you give us word and sacrament, that we would know your law, mercy, and grace. We ask you to raise up preachers of your word from among us, to go into all creation to baptize, preach, and bear witness to the truth of your son, to hearts who do not know you, that they would be brought out of the darkness and into the light of your salvation and that when they lift their eyes of faith, they would see only you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we ask for guidance and strength for our ministry partners and mission partners here and around the world. Grant them all your wisdom and guidance that in all that they do would bring glory to your kingdom. Bless and encourage those with whom they serve in ways that you know best to meet their needs. Equip them according to your Holy and divine will to carry on the work into which they have been called, to be a lamp shining in a dark place. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy; through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
