After waiting 25 years for the promised son, Abraham's faith is tested when God tells him to sacrifice his son. Was Abraham willing? Has your faith in God's promise ever been tested? Did God provide for you at the end of that test?
Should significant consideration be given to the the proclamation of our faith at the time of a loved one's death? Does God give us promises even in the test of faith named death?
Abraham sends his servant in search of a wife for Isaac. This seems odd to us, since we tend to think of the right spuse in terms of feelings or romance or common interests. Can marriage be about more than these things? Should it be about more?
