God makes the rules. If humans made them, there would be requirements that depended on themselves, on their abilities and righteousness. God’s rules have us depend upon him, on his strong arm of righteousness. No person is able to keep the law, especially the spirit of the law (Acts 15:10), so we must depend upon God’s grace (Acts 15:11) for salvation, just as Love planned. Even so, he sent his Son to save us through faith in his grace (John 3:16–17).
